‘Architecture and the Urban Rural Commons’, Rothwell Co-Chair Symposium 2024. Curated by the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning and Atelier Bow-Wow, represented by Momoyo Kaijima, Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Yoichi Tamai.

The Symposium, launching Atelier Bow Wow’s appointment as new Co-Chairs, will focus on architecture’s role in urban and rural connections, exploring:

  • the implications for architectural practices to work in rural, regional and remote communities
  • architecture’s capacity to transform contexts and to support urban-rural communing
  • the agency of educational institutions to foster new and emerging forms of design and research practice in rural-urban settings
